Allright I couldn’t leave Tasmania without getting this one. One thing I was not expecting on my trip to Oz was snow and sleet. After a windy day at Port Arthur I decided to go for this one. As I was approaching the cache site the wind really picked up and then it started freezing rain out. I was not dressed for it but had to continue on, maybe that’s why I didn’t see any jack-jumpers.
I found the cache quickly and being a yank I finally knew what the clue meant. With my frozen fingers I managed to attach my sticker. Leave the FTF prizes and a White Jeep and ran as fast as I could back to the auto. Thanks for the great walk and views.

My GPSr is loaded with Australian maps and Waypoints, so I'm out of the game for now. I've learned the hard way to reprogram your GPSr a few days before you go in case of a mistake. While I'm in OZ it's going to be hard to remember to point your GPSr at the ground instead of the sky.

OK I get the announcement at 12:17 new cache 7.9 miles from home.. I have to much to do and not enough time to do it, I still haven't found the Australian basemaps for my GPSr and besides its to cold for a 3/4 mile walk today. 1pm rolls around, I wonder how many TUS have seen this already? It's outta the radar of most TUS so I continue my work..2pm rolls around and I'm thinking Prying Pandora must have this by now...3pm comes and it's getting colder and darker out and still no logs...I can't stand it anymore I leave the house about 3:40 traffic is light. I already have all the waypoints in the GPSr and I go for my stroll I hit the WPs out of sequence but have a feeling where the final will be, I plug in the numbers and off I go.. After looking for a bit I notice a mistake you would think I should know all this terminology by now..Redo the numbers and I have the little container of joy in my juicy little frozen hands..SL and took FTF prize.. Good to meet another brave geocacher wandering the woods...But this is the 2nd or 3rd time alciato has beat me to a FTF..It was an absolutely beautiful day out..Once you walked in a mile or so there were no clouds and sunshine..I talked to the old man for a bit and then I SL..What can you can say about the camo without giving anything away...It's worth the walk... I believe the corrected coodinates I have posted will make it easier to find. I got to GZ and looked at obvious places then expanded my search.. First 20ft then 40ft then 60ft and finally 80ft from GZ. It was a nice warm day so I didn't mind. Finally got it... Yikes I need to read the whole posting first before I head into the woods. After a trip back to the parking coordinates to get additional information I was off again..Final coordinates were alot better.. I forgot the TB that I was going to trade for the Jeep and didn't want to make another trip to car so I left $1.. SL Thanks for the fun walk on a beautiful autumn day...

Maintenance visit. Replaced container. It is still a keyholder, but one that has more room. Replaced ripped ziplock bag. Moved to top of steel beam as the bottom gets to much water. Raised the terrain rating as those rocks do get slippery.

Yes indeedly this was a busy busy cache today..Met up with some TUS Markta and FauxSteve. Another tremendously incredibly mind-blowing cache. What else can you do with a tube ? Then on the way-out we met up with GlobalGirl Cent5 Renio and Geek Girl...WOW Grabbed Time Flies TB to get it out of the Seattle area.. I'm heading to Maine in a couple days. Left 1,000,000 dollar bill. SL
